I came to know Linux out of necessity: I had been hospitalized for a very long time and had only an old laptop at my disposal. Windows would no longer run on it; the laptop was too old to support it, and I tried installing Linux Mint. I fell in love with it immediately, the laptop, albeit dated, worked wonderfully.
Once I got home, I installed Linux Mint Cinnamon on my home PC as well, and then on my wife's PC. Now, my whole family uses Linux Mint (except for a MacBook that my daughter uses for her Graphic Design work).
